Marjorie Bull

Marjorie A. Bull, 94, Carthage, MO, passed away Wednesday morning, August 10, 2016 at St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Carthage, MO. Marjorie Ann Ervin was born June 20, 1922 in Jasper County, MO to the late Raymond A. Ervin and Martha Ann (Swindle) Ervin. She graduated from Carterville High School, Class of 1940. Marjorie married Don R. Bull, Jr. on July 20, 1942 in Carterville, MO; he preceded her in death on November 1, 1978. She was a homemaker. Marjorie was a member of the Missouri ExtensionClub and attended Fairview Christian Church, Carthage. She loved traveling, gardening, sewing, quilting, and flowers.

Survivors include three daughters, Virginia A. Bright, Carthage, MO, Joan K. Harms (husband Vernon), Platte City, MO, and Patricia J. Leger (husband Dale), Kennesaw, GA; one brother, Raymond Ervin, Jr., Carthage, MO; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Lawrence Ervin and John Ervin, two sisters, Blanche Brown and Ella Kelly, and one son-in-law, Ed Bright.

Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday, August 15, 2016 at Knell Mortuary. A graveside funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin, MO. Minister David Cook will officiate. Memorial gifts are suggested to First Christian Church Youth Group or Oronogo Christian Church Youth Group in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W.
