Everett ‘Gene’ Glover, 76, Neosho, died August 20, 2016 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following a short illness.
Gene was born June 1, 1940 in Hockerville, OK, the son of Benjamin F. and Mary H. (Ferris) Glover. He moved to Neosho in 1960 from Picher, OK and had served in the Army National Guard. He worked at Union Carbide, Linde and retired from Praxair in 1995. He enjoyed his daily visits with his ‘coffee buddies’.
Gene married Treva J. Bird on December 23, 1959 in Peoria, OK and she preceded him in death on July 3, 2008. Gene is survived by four children, Jean Ann Richardson and husband, Steve of Neosho; Max Glover of Kansas City, MO; Rex Glover and wife, Carol of Olathe, KS and Jo Ellen Mailes and husband, Cory of Seneca; thirteen grandchildren, Jamie Bates, Mica Embrey, Jason Richardson, Ashley Gust, Andrew Glover, Matthew Glover, Austin Dowling, Donovan Dowling, Savannah Dowling, Regan Dowling, Brylee Glover, Marty Mailes and Monty Mailes; eleven great grandchildren and a brother, Robert Franklin Glover of Norman, OK. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jody Embrey and brother, Jack Glover.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.
