Mark Jackson

Mark Kevin Jackson, 65 of Joplin, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family following a short illness.

Mark was born July 24, 1951 in Joplin to the late Clarence Jackson and Betty Rosenberry-Jackson Joyce. He was a graduate of Joplin High School and then served in the United States Air Force. Mark worked as a Property Manager for N.C.O. in Joplin, however previously worked for Able Body Corp. and formally owned Fourstate Fire and Safety.

Mark married Tameesha Huddleston on September 4, 1999 in Arkansas, she survives of the home. Additional survivors include sons, Jeremy Jackson and wife, Adair of Florida, Casey Jackson of Carl Junction, Ian Jackson of Joplin; daughters, Benita Taylor and husband, Christopher of Webb City, Sara Newton of Joplin, Brittany Westervelt and husband, Christopher of Galena, Kansas, Misty Standeford and husband, Michael of Galena, Kansas; brothers, Don Jackson of Joplin and Ron Jackson and wife, Becky of Lawson, Missouri; sisters, Melody Neilan and husband, Scott of Shawnee, Kansas and Susan Ring and husband, Cliff of Nevada, Missouri; numerous grandchildren and many extended family and friends.

A celebration of life is planned for Friday, August 12, at 6:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary with visitation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Avalon Hospice in care of the mortuary.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
