Danny Reisdorph

Danny Lee Reisdorph passed away at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 19 days. He died of natural causes. He joined the Marine Corps in 1962, where he served with the 3rd Battalion, 9th Marines serving his country in the Vietnam War. He was Lifetime Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5293 in Joplin MO, a Lifetime and Charter Member of the Tripoli Marine Corps League #1356, A Lifetime Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2410, Joplin MO. and Dual Member, Aerie 3934 Springfield MO. A Charter Member of the Joplin Eagle Riders.

He was born to Lee Barney Reisdorph and Lillian Lucille Grove, in Sioux City Iowa.

He met LaDonna K. Banta on April 8,1984 and they were married April 8,1985 at St. Marks Lutherans Church in Sioux City Iowa. He had 3 boys by a previous marriage, Jeff and wife Tisha, Eric and Jason all of Florida. A son Alan and his wife Rebecca and their 3 girls, Kalin, Elizabeth (Lizzie) and Lydia, a daughter Tami Banta and her children, Cole, Gage, Broc, Khloee, Danika and Alex; Granddaughters, Crystal and her family (Jeff's daughter by previous marriage) Jordan (Jeff's daughter by previous marriage) and Matthew Weekly and their family Max and Ester, Taylor (Jeff's by previous marriage). Granddaughter Kiali Banta and her family Hope, Jaydli and Bently Venteicher, Granddaughter Alanna Banta and her fiancé Draven Smizer and their daughter Faith.

He had 4 brothers, Kermit and his wife Fiorenza and their 3 girls and their families, Ron and his wife Amber and his children and their families, Bruce and his wife Brenda and their children and their families, Rex and his wife Mary and their children and their families, one sister Yvette Shinn and her husband John and their children and their families.

He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, sister Labonna, sister Annlee Sue, daughter Hope Banta, his mother and father in-law, Duane W. Banta, Sr. and Kathleen E. Banta, brother-in-law, Duane Banta, Jr., and several other extended family members. He will be greatly missed.

He loved hunting, camping, fishing, boating, black powder and re-enacting the pre-1840s and motorcycling…He loved horseback riding and loved driving the wagon with Gus and Woody…
Semper Fidelis, he was proud to be a Marine and he always said “ONCE A MARINE , ALWAYS A MARINE”

Memorial services are planned for Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Fred Pugh will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
