Georgia Pendergraft was born Sept. 24, 1928 in Washburn, MO, the daughter of Ted and Rosa (Snook) Cole. She entered into rest on May 2, 2018 at her home in Granby, following an illness at the age of 89.
Georgia was a lifelong area resident and had worked as a lineworker at Tyson Foods. She loved gardening, flowers, sewing and canning.
Georgia and Lawrence Pendergraft were married on Feb. 22, 1976 at Granby and he preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 2004. She is survived by two sons, Jim Dell and wife, Linda of Granby; Ted Dell and wife, Debbie of Centerville, IA; seven step children, Donna Goodnight and husband, Joseph of Garfield, AR; Margaret Stevens and husband, Mark of Neosho; Carol Stewart and husband, Jim of Stark City; Robert Pendergraft and wife, Shelli of Noel; Sandra Wethey of Miami, OK; Verla Rinehart and husband, Danny of Seneca and Kenny Pendergraft of Granby; thirty nine grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Fred Dell and Linis Dell and a stepdaughter, Cindy Frasier.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Granby. Interment will follow in the Rocky Comfort Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be J. P. Arehart, John Arehart, Joe Goodnight, Dwayne Goodnight, Jamie Kelsey, Jared Kelsey, Rodney Dell and Justin Dell. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby.
