John 'Les' Daniels was born June 3, 1941 in Newton County, Missouri, the son of John W. and Ruth E. (Triplett) Daniels. He entered into rest on May 1, 2018 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, at the age of 76, following a short illness.
Les was a lifelong area resident and had worked in construction all over the country as a professional glazer. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed living the country life and being with his family. He was a Christian.
Les is survived by his children, Tracy Barnes and husband, Tim of Neosho; Debbie Compton and husband, Jim of Riverton, KS; Kristen Todd and husband, Junior of Racine; John Daniels, Jr. and wife, Dana of Fairland, OK; Shannon Daniels and Zack of Baxter Springs, KS and Spencer Daniels and Alexas of St. Joseph, MO; one brother, James Daniels of Joplin; one sister, Linda Colvin of Oklahoma City, OK; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and the mothers of his children, Fran Strickland of Fairland, OK and Valerie Russow of Joplin. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Norma Himmelsback and brother, Luther Daniels.
