Mr. Norman Gene Law, 89, of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas, after months of declining health.
Gene entered this life on November 23, 1928, in Kiowa, Kansas, son of the late Everett Adam and Lettie (Barker) Law. He moved with his family to Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, at the age of nine. On March 14, 1955, he was united in marriage to Wanda Haney and to this union two sons were born. Gene was a hardworking farmer throughout his life and was of the Assembly of God faith. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, traveling many a mile on his Harley-Davidson. Gene was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Garrell Law; a sister, Marie Biven; and six brothers, brothers, Verlin, Ernest, Amos, Don, Fred and Harvey Law.
Gene is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Wanda Law of the home; a son, Bill Law of Grove, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ball of Noel, Missouri, Bobby Law of Rogers, Arkansas, Megan Law of Bentonville, Arkansas and Audra Law of Farmington, Arkansas; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Bernadine Leslie of the state of Washington and Oni Tyler of Grove, Oklahoma; a brother, Jake Frost Law of Tyler, Texas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the Wann Cemetery near Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, with Timothy O’Brien officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Bill Law, Bobby Law, Ron Ball, Jennifer Ball, Megan Law and Audra Law.
