Carroll “ Blue” Harrison, age 91, of the Scotland Community, southwest of Carthage, Mo. passed away at 8:10 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at his home. Carroll was born April 13, 1927 in the Walnut Township, Ks., and had resided in the Joplin area Since 1948. He married Flora Jean Patrick in 1948. He was employed at the Atlas Powder Company in Joplin for 38 years, retiring in 1987.
Carroll is survived by one daughter, Cheri Cantwell and husband Aaron, Carthage, Mo., one son, Phillip Harrison and wife Gay, Diamond, Mo., one grandson, Joel Babcock, and two great granddaughters, Kendall Babcock and Emerlynn Babcock all of Carthage, Mo. Carroll was proceeded in death by his wife Flora Jean in 2013 and a grandson Drew Babcock in 2014, six brothers and a sister.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Stone Cemetery near Diamond, Mo. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
