Yonavie Hierholzer

Wanda Yonavie Hierholzer, Neosho, entered into rest at the age of 88 at Joplin Gardens Care Facility on August 9, 2018. 
 
Born June 30, 1930 in Granby, MO, Yonavie was a lifelong Seneca area resident. She had worked as a salesperson for Hukill Furniture, Gene’s Grocery, and Lindsay’s Department Store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seneca and also attended Hottle Springs Church of Christ. Yonavie loved to cook, quilt, embroidery, and enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society.
Yonavie married Robert H. Hierholzer, Sr. on Jan. 10, 1948 in Seneca. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2001. 
 
She is survived by three children: Carolyn Lankford and husband, Ronald of Joplin, MO, Peggy Ledford and husband, Bob of Atlanta, GA and Robert Hierholzer Jr. and wife, Nancy of Neosho, MO; a special friend, Norman Kelly; two sisters: Betty Alfrey Ensor of Neosho and Peggy Keatts of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren: Christina Dickinson, Craig (Chrissy) Lankford, Jerry Lee Burris, Brittany (Aron) Voight, Tyler Burris, and Michelle (Bryan) Pyle; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. 
 
In addition to her husband, Yonavie was preceded in death by three brothers: Forrest M. (Frog) Wallace, Glenn Wallace, and Jay Wallace; three sisters: Christine Waggoner, Hazel Belka, and Margaret Records; and one grandson, Michael Hierholzer.

Services will be 10 am, Monday, August 13, 2018 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho; Dr. Ronald Lankford and Dr. Craig Lankford will officiate. Interment will follow at Seneca Cemetery, Seneca, OK. Dr. Craig Lankford, Bryan Pyle, Tyler Burris, Richard Linders, Jerry Lee Burris, and Baylor Dickinson will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday during a time of visitation from 2 pm until 3 pm at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
