Mr. Gayle Scott Turnley, 56, of Pineville, Missouri, our loving son and brother, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, July 6, 2019, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.
Gayle was born on August 29, 1962, in Gardner, Kansas, to Ernest Aylett and Marguerite Sofia (Anderson) Turnley. Gayle was a very giving person and willing to give to others all that he had. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Turnley and two nephews, Bradford and Stephen Vick.
Gayle is survived by his mother, Marguerite Turnley; his parents, Scott and Sylvia Anderson; six brothers and spouses, Ernest Turnley, John and KiKi Turnley, Terry Anderson, Doug and Christie Anderson, Timothy Anderson and Jeremy and Tish Anderson; six sisters and spouses, Belle and Tim Vick, Rose Turnley, Sofia and Kevin Hurley, Sonya Hancock, Dawn and Steve Morley and Sarah Jane Smith; fourteen nephews; thirteen nieces; and several great nieces and nephews.
His family is indebted to the caregivers at University of Kansas Medical Center, Freeman Health Systems, Doctors and Staff of Heartland Dialysis in Neosho, Dr. Allison Galloway and many others. We thank you for extending his time with us.
Funeral services for Gayle will be held graveside on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cummings Cemetery in Tiff City, Missouri, with Pastor Curtis Hurley officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Kevin Hurley, Tim Anderson, Doug Anderson, Jeremy Anderson and John Turnley. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the Anderson chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
