Nadine C. Brower, 85, Nevada, MO passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Nadine was born February 21, 1934 in Kansas City, KS and was raised by her mother Nellie Vie (Thompson) and step-father Lawrence Chaldecott.
She lived and worked in Kansas City, MO for a number of years. In 1970 she came to Nevada where she worked for Moore-Few Care Center as a nurse’s aide. Later she worked at the Nevada State Hospital in the dietary department until her retirement. Nadine enjoyed visiting with friends and family, and always loved her cup of coffee.
From Nadine’s marriage to Richard E. Hand, seven children were born. Surviving children include Karen Roberts of Stockton, MO; Larry Hand and wife Shelia of Nevada; Richard Hand and wife Stacie of Neosho; Sherry Weber of Nevada; and Tammy Wehmeyer and husband Bill of Milo. Nadine is also survived by 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several half-brothers and -sisters.
Nadine was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara DePue and Teresa Collier.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Committal will follow in Moore Cemetery.
