Kathy Ann (Duree) Parmley Jurino, 57, Joplin, MO, passed away January 21, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin after an illness.
Kathy Ann Duree was born March 21, 1957 in Baxter Springs, KS the daughter of Paul and Kathleen (Weaver) Duree. Kathy formerly worked for St. John's Regional Medical center, Joplin, MO. She was an inspirational speaker traveling the area speaking on how her kidney transplants changed her life. Kathy formerly held the position of President of the Blind Association in Joplin.
Kathy married Burl Parmley and he preceded her in death in 1995 she then married Steve Jurino and he preceded her in death in 2009. Kathy was also preceded in death by her parents Paul and Kathleen Duree.
Survivors include two brothers, David Duree Sr. and wife Linda, Baxter Springs, KS and Paul Allan Duree state of Arkansas; one sister Paula Walker; three nieces, Danille Crozier, Cricket Duree and Lisa Duree; one nephew, David Duree.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the funeral home.
Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 23, 2015 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Joplin, MO.
Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery.
