Ron Cook

Ronald L. ‘Ron’ Cook, age 72, Joplin, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital after an illness.

Ron was born September 13, 1942 in Purcell, Missouri to the late Joe Cook and Lena Dodson Cook and had lived in the Joplin area all of his life.

He worked in construction as a carpenter all of his working life.

Ron is survived by his wife, Joan Sue Cook; three sons, Ronald L. Cook, Jr., Joplin, Byron Lynn Cook, Joplin, Jody Lynn Cook and his wife, Michelle, Joplin; a daughter, Tina Melynn Pennington, Joplin; two sisters, Janet Jones and her husband, Ray, Joplin, Patty Jo Hodges and her husband, Tom, Purcell; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Ron has been taken for cremation. Family services are being planned for a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
