Barbara Cannon

Mrs. Barbara Lea (Duby) Cannon, 85, of Apache Junction, Arizona, formerly of Diamond, Missouri passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 in the comfort of her home.

Barbara entered this life on December 29, 1933 in Independence, Kansas, to the late Samuel Leroy and Cordelia Lorene (Cline) Loggan. She grew up in California, graduating from Pilgrim High School in Elmonte, California. Later she attended Compton College receiving a degree in nursing. She worked at White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles.

On April 12, 1968 she was united in marriage to Clair Dennis Duby, together they shared thirty five years until his passing in 2005. For several years she was a missionary, serving Salt River-Pima Nation for six years as well as foreign countries, Mexico and Grenada. In 1980 she and Clair moved to Kansas and later returned to Missouri in 1996. For several years they resided in Wentworth and later moved to Diamond. She was a member of the Wesleyan Holiness Alliance Church, where she was very active in music. For years she played the organ, piano, accordion, keyboard and digital piano for the church. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.







She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Clair Dennis Duby and Harlan Cannon; her daughter, Nadine Logsdon and son-in-law, Jerry Logsdon.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Marion Cummings (Colter Mountz) of Apache Junction, Arizona; grandchildren, Levi Knight of Apache Junction, Arizona, Holly Knight of Valley Falls, Kansas, Sarah Moore (Steven) of San Diego, California, Heather Johnson (Patrick) of Topeka, Kansas, Doran Hobbs of Topeka, Kansas, C.J. Mountz of Apache Junction, Arizona and Leah Mountz of Apache Junction, Arizona; six great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cannon are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Diamond Missouri with Pastor Ivan Hazelwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Diamond Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Colter Mountz, Levi Knight, Doran Hobbs, Zach Bohannon, Phil Shimp and Roy Tate.
