Janice Sue (Ralston) Griffith, age 81, Carthage, Missouri, passed away peacefully November 13, 2019 at St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Carthage. Janice was born December 9, 1937, in Carthage, MO to the late Clyde A. Ralston and Mary (Melugin) Ralston. She was a 1955 graduate of Carthage High School.
She married Robert Griffith (who survives) on February 17, 1957, at the First United Methodist Church Carthage, where she was member for 63 years.
Janice was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved and cherished the time spent with her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, long Sunday drives after church and hearing all about her grandchildren’s activities, but most of all dancing with her husband of 63 years.
She retired from Leggett and Platt, Carthage, in 2005, after 32 years of employment. She lived a very full life and loved to travel and visit different parts of the country she had never seen before.
Survivors include her husband Robert; son Rockford “Rocky” (wife Katherine), Lewisville, TX; daughter Teri Crusa (husband Jack); four grandchildren, Griff (wife Lindsey) Schramm, Ralston Schramm, Adrianna Griffith and Cooper Griffith, and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Marshall, and one brother Kenneth Ralston.
Private family services will be held. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, Carthage in Janice’s memory.
