Terry Neil Greenwood, 72, of Independence, MO passed away November 3, 2019. Terry was born July 21, 1947 in Carthage, MO to Leslie and Christina (Grenniger) Greenwood. Terry was born and raised in Carthage. After high school, he served the United States Air Force, and was stationed in Sherman, TX. He retired from the Missouri Department of Conservation Forestry after 35 years at a job he loved, and has lived in Independence, MO for the past 35 years.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; first wife and mother to his children, Susan “Moore” Greenwood; and furry companion, Kendall.
Terry was then united in marriage to Peggy Greenwood on April 15, 1989 in Independence; she survives.

Terry is also survived by one son, Monty Greenwood (Traci) of Carthage; daughter, Candi Watson (James) of Granby; brother, Gary Greenwood (Nancy) of Carthage; stepsons, Edward Brown of Kingsville, MO and Roy Brown (Tanya) of Independence; stepdaughter, Tammy Shaw (Keith) of Springhill, KS; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one furry baby called Rowdy.
A visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, MO. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage. Burial was at Fidelity Cemetery south of Carthage.
