Mary Ruth Bielby, 93, Fayetteville, AR, entered into rest November 15, 2019 after several months of failing health. She was born May 19, 1926 in the community of Boulder City, MO to Arthur J. and Ina Belle (Elmore) Mitchell.
Mary was a homemaker, then spent ten years performing clerical work for Nissan Motor Corp. She moved to Illinois in 1946, living there for 40 years before returning to Neosho in 1986.
Mary and Clifford Bielby were married January 22, 1946 in Neosho; he preceded her in death on January 6, 1984. Mary was a member of the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ, where she would host children during the Church’s annual Jump Start. She loved to quilt, play Bunko, and cook and deliver Meals on Wheels.
Mary is survived by three children, Dee Carleton of Flippin, AR, Jackie Haynie and husband, Les of Fayetteville, AR, and Scott Bielby and wife, Rhonda of Broken Arrow, OK; one sister, Carolyn Talley and husband, Brice of Tulsa, OK; three grandchildren, Whitney Haynie, Jennifer McKeown and husband, Nick, and Shea Bielby and wife, Kaci; and three great grandchildren, Piper McKeown, Hugh McKeown, and Luke Bielby.
In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by one sister, Leah Mitchell.
Services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ, Neosho, MO. Denny Kruse and Tye Zola will officiate. Interment will follow at Hazelgreen Cemetery in the community of Boulder City. A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 19 at Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ, Neosho.
