Rita Faye (Sarratt) Thurman, 67, Goodman, MO passed away November 28, 2019. She was born July 17, 1952 in Rogers, AR to William Ray and Nina (Wood) Sarratt.
Rita graduated Neosho High School in 1970 and then graduated from the nursing program at Crowder College. She spent several years working at the former Oak Hill Hospital and at Dr. Warn’s office in Goodman; she also retired from Able Manufacturing in Joplin.
Rita married Richard L. Thurman on September 8, 2014 in Eureka Springs, AR; he preceded her in death on November 2, 2016. In her earlier years, Rita enjoyed doing ceramics; she later enjoyed traveling and was always the driver.
Rita is survived by three aunts, Elsie White, Edith Seiger, and Velta Harviston, all of Springdale, AR; two sisters, Ruth Parmley and husband, Carl and Ruby Lauderdale and husband, Mark, all of Goodman, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be held 10 am Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO with Mark Sumler officiating. Interment will follow at Peace Valley Cemetery, Anderson, MO.
Visitation will be Monday, December 2, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
