Shell ”Mike” Lamb, age 74 passed away at 1:10 a.m. Thursday, November 28, 2019 at his home following an illness.
Mike was born June 14, 1945 in Joplin, MO. He was a lifetime resident of Galena. He graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1963.
He worked several years for Jackson Brothers Vending as a Vending Maintenance Technician, retiring in July, 2015. He was a member of the Galena Elks Lodge, and Abate of Kansas, a motorcycle riders organization. Besides motorcycle riding, he enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching his granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Lamb, one sister, Reta Weakley and one brother, William (Arles) Youngblood.
Surviving are two sons, Shell M Lamb Jr, Webb City, MO and James R Lamb, South Lake Tahoe, CA; one brother, Dale E Youngblood (wife, Jean), Riverton, KS; three sisters, Roberta Caswell, Appleton City, MO, Tammy Youngblood, Galena, and Eva Youngblood, Galena; and one granddaughter, Lucy Lamb, Webb City, MO.
He was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena KS for cremation. The family plans to celebrate his life at a later date
