Steven Lambeth

Steven Max Lambeth, 71, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Carthage, surrounded by his loving family.

Steven entered this life on August 4, 1948 in Carthage, Missouri to the union of William Max and Ruth Maxine (Castor) Lambeth. He was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. On October 21, 1968, he was united in marriage to Linda Filarski. Together, they shared fifty one years. He proudly served in the United States Navy. During his time of service he received several commendations — National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He worked many years as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed older John Deere tractors, tractor shows and spending time at Scott’s Body Works. He will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Max Lambeth.









Steven is survived by his wife Linda, of the home; children, Scott Lambeth (Crystal) of Sarcoxie, and Traci Lambeth Stokes (Mike) of Joplin; grandchildren, Brandon Stokes of Boston, MA, Taylor Lambeth, Garrett Lambeth and Rylee Lambeth, all of Sarcoxie; great grandson, Walker Lambeth; mother, Maxine Lambeth of Sarcoxie; brother Bruce Lambeth (Margie) also of Sarcoxie; sister-in-law, Alice Gibson of Bentonville, AR; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Lambeth are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri with Pastor Scott Pogue officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Sarcoxie Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Brandon Stokes, Taylor Lambeth, Garrett Lambeth, Michael Castor, Elvis Castor and Mike Stokes. Honorary pallbearers are Scott Lambeth and Bruce Lambeth. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
