Robert (Bob) Orville Sill, age 86, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Joplin Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Bob was born July 29, 1933 in Joplin, to the late Robert Lee Sill and Dorothy Putman Sill. He was a lifelong resident of Joplin.
Bob was a welder and mechanic by trade. Working for Beechcraft for over 18 years and then retiring from Tri State Motor Transit after 25 years. But even in retirement Bob did not stop working as he continued to work at various jobs sharing his skills and knowledge. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Army, but his greatest joy was his family. He loved getting to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob married Annabelle Haase on February 14, 1953, in Joplin, Missouri. She preceded him in death on August 2, 2015.
Additional survivors include sons, Robert O. Sill, II, and wife, Kim, of Chelsea, OK., David B. Sill and wife, Lorene, of Welford, S.C., Darren W. Sill and wife, Amy, of Joplin; daughter, Rhonda J. Reynolds and husband, Mark, of Joplin; brother, Cliff Sill, of Georgetown, TX; sister, Martha Whisenhunt, of El Dorado, KS; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Betty Ivey.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Max and Kyle Sill, and sister, Barbara Gourley.
Services are planned for Monday, December 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at LifePoint Pentecostal Church in Joplin. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-4:00 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
