Cynthia Lee 'Cindy' Smith, age 56, Joplin, passed away at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Mercy Hospital after an illness.
Cindy was born September 22, 1963 in Joplin, daughter of Mary Barrett Goodwin, and the late William J. Goodwin.
Cindy grew up in Joplin, and graduated from McAuley High School. She was a stay at home mother, and enjoyed time spent with her family. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. In addition to her father, Cindy was preceded in death by a son, Buddy.
She married Keith Smith on November 3, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include her children, Dakota and Jessica; mother, Mary Goodwin, Joplin; brothers, Bill Goodwin, Jr., Jim Haynes both of Joplin, and Dan Haynes of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Deb Randall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Jackie Pulaski of Marionville, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel. Cremation will follow, and her ashes will be inurned in Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery, Bloomfield, Missouri, at a later date.
