Bernarr R. Gordon, age 79 of Joplin, Missouri formerly of Oronogo, Missouri passed away Sunday January 5, 2020.
He was born June 2, 1940 in Sarcoxie, Missouri to Elbert and Rachel (Humbard) Gordon.
Bernarr was a lifelong area resident. He had worked as a mechanic for Cyrus Truck lines and an equipment operator for the former Independent Gravel Company. He loved to fish and make art with egg shells. He was a member of the New Day Apostolic Church where he served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Monty Gordon, one brother, Lewis and one sister Doris and three wives, Claudia, Sally and Nancy.
Benarr is survived by two sons; Ray Gordon and wife Sue, Tony Gordon and wife Sheila; one daughter, Rosalie Mitchell and husband Charles, one brother Oscar Gordon, Texas, and one sister, Joyce Camis, Webb City, Missouri, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
