Mrs. Josephine Williams, 83, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Friday afternoon, January 3, 2020, at Freeman Hospital in Neosho, Missouri, after suffering a massive heart attack.
Josephine entered this life on August 24, 1936, in Stella, Missouri, daughter of the late Clarence and Eva (Beaver) Qualls. Her formative years were spent in Washburn, Missouri. On October 10, 1953, she was united in marriage to Arthur Leroy Williams and to this union two daughters and three sons were born. She and Arthur resided in Bethpage before moving to Anderson in 1976. She retired from Hudson Foods in 1993 after several years of employment. She enjoyed being outdoors where her favorite activity was fishing. She also enjoyed going to auctions with her husband. Josephine attended Faith Chapel Church in Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty-two years, Arthur Williams on March 13, 2006; two sons, Ricky Ray Williams and Tony Allen Williams; two grandchildren, Anthony Canady and Keith Canady, Jr.; and three brothers, Billy, Howard and Clarence Qualls.
Josephine is survived by two daughters, Marsha Sue Alford of Seneca, Missouri and Donna Elaine Price and husband, Brian, of Anderson, Missouri; a son, Vic Lee Williams also of Anderson; five grandchildren, Joshua Canady, Jason Canady, Jody Guess, Krystal Bourg and Amy Price; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Ellsworth Qualls and wife, Betty, of Anderson and Loren Qualls and wife, Louanne, of Bethpage; four sisters, Blanche Posey of Anniston, Alabama, Lorene Ramey of Buckner, Missouri, Patricia Harrelson and husband, Jerry, of Kansas City, Missouri and Helen Abe of Tacoma, Washington; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Josephine are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Derald Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery near Stella, Missouri. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Joshua Canady, Danny Price, Micha Looney, Ashton Looney, Stacy Barnett and Mike Barnett.
