Julia Carpenter

Julia Belle (Miler) Carpenter was a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, and worked over 20 years at the Nevada State Hospital. She was a member of the Pentecostal Assembly Church.

Julia left this world, Monday June 7, 2021, at the age of 93. She was born August 10, 1927 to Homer and Viola Faye (Vincent) Miler. She married Floyd H. Carpenter Sr. on October 5, 1945, and to this union, 14 children were born.








Julia is survived by one sister, Anna May Johnson, Wyoming; five sons, Floyd Carpenter, Jr, Nevada, MO, Daniel Carpenter, Nevada, Hal Carpenter, Milo, MO, Larry Carpenter, Nevada, MO and Terry Carpenter, Nevada, MO; three daughters, Janice Williams, Mississippi, Margie Wardin, Nevada, MO and Sarah Wyrick, Lamar, MO; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; six siblings, Raymond Miler, George Miler, Elmer Miler, Bertie Marie Miler, Hazel Irene Smith, and Betty Utterback; seven children, Albert Ray Carpenter, Randall Carpenter, Bradley Carpenter, Kathy Keith, Darrel Carpenter, Carl Calvin Carpenter, Earl Carpenter; one daughter-in-law Margie Lucille Carpenter.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021, at the Pentecostal Assembly Church in Nevada, MO with burial to follow in Moore Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Ferry Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Pentecostal Assembly Church with the funeral home serving as custodian.
