Sandra Martin

Sandra Jane Martin, 53, of Joplin, passed away May 30, 2021 at her home from an extended illness.

Sandra was born May 2, 1968 in Springfield, Wisconsin. She grew up in Anderson and graduated from McDonald County High School. Sandra lived most of her adult life in the Granby/Neosho area, where she previously worked at various places in Neosho, including Tyson Foods, La-Z-Boy, and New Visions.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Leon G. Martin; a sister, Stephanie Martin-Stone; and her grandparents, George and Mable Martin and Homer and Melissa Harrell.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Dalton Reed of Webb City and Mathew Leon Reed of Joplin; her mother, Connie Martin, of Anderson; sisters, Marilyn Hembree and husband, Jerry, of Seneca, Sheri Litmon and husband, Jeremy, of Mabelvale, Arkansas, Courtney Summerville and husband, Todd, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and Leauna Davidson and husband, Steve, of West Siloam Springs, Arkansas; her brother, Hershell Mahurin, of Anderson; special extended family, Clayton and the late JoAnn Bates and their children, Kayla and Dylan; aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends who will miss her dearly.

The family will hold a memorial graveside service at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Owsley Union Cemetery, 13482 E. Route 76, Pineville, MO 64856. All family and friends are welcome to attend. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
