(From Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home)John R. Eidson, 86, Oklahoma City, OK, passed away August 3, 2021 in Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City Oklahoma after an illness.
John R. Eidson was born March 9, 1935 in Wyandotte, OK the son of Homer and Heneretta (Rakes) Eidson. John graduated from Wyandotte High School. He grew up in the area and had lived in Oklahoma City the last 30 years.
John was a “Trucker” not only he drove he formerly owned and operated a trucking firm. He also formerly worked as a “welder”. John loved OU Football, Golf, and was a history buff and ancestry researcher. John loved his family and loved to spend time with his grandkids.
John R. Eidson married Dorothy Marris September 31, 1954 in Neosho, MO and she survives. John was also preceded in death by one sister Judy DeWitt and one son John William Eidson.
Survivors include his sons, Homer Eidson, Rapid City, SD, Jerry Eidson, Seneca, MO and Judd Eidson and wife Shanna, Neosho, MO; siblings, John Erving, Shirlene Bolin, Alzada Heatherly and Buzz Ervin; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The body has been taken from cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO. A Celebration of life visitation will be held August 26, 2021 from 6 to 7 pm at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home. The family will hold at private family graveside service at the Wyandotte Cemetery with Truman Brady officiating.
