Paul Stephens

Aaron Paul Stephens, age 54 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Paul was born on March 13, 1967 to Michael and Mary Stephens.

He graduated from Parkwood High School in 1985. Paul received an Associate of Science in computer programing and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in economics and finance from Missouri Southern in 1990. He worked in Management at Garfield’s for many years, and most recently at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. 








In his younger years he enjoyed wrestling and soccer. One of his greatest passions was Mong Su Dom Tai, where he earned his eighth degree Blackbelt. He was a Master SIGUNG and a Foundational. In his spare time, he loved to spend time with his family and friends, and also enjoyed fishing and playing disc golf. Paul attended Southside Apostolic Faith Church in Joplin, Missouri.

Paul married the love of his life, Tracy, on April 12, 1991. They recently celebrated their 30th anniversary.

They were blessed with three sons, Nicholas, Chad and Corey, all of whom survive of the home. Additional survivors include his mother, Mary Stephens, his sister, Kendall Vanderbol and husband Adam, Uncle, Mark Stephens, Aunt, Trish Davis, Mother-in-law, Mary Moser. Paul is also survived by a big extended family who loved him very much, and a host of wonderful friends. We all know “Everybody loves Paul.”

Paul is preceded in death by his father, Michael Stephens, an infant sister, Melissa Stephens and his father-in-law, Phillip Moser.

Those gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be, Frank Lundien, Bobby Landis, Michael Garner, Scott Stocking, Adam Vanderbol, Shane Slavens, and Kevin Gray.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday August 12, 2021, at Southside Apostolic Faith Church with Brian Moser and Richard Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Saginaw Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 -7:00 pm Wednesday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.



Memorial contributions may be given to his family in care of the mortuary.
