(From Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home)Max David Garner, age 69, of Miller, Missouri, passed away at 3:55 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the Dade County Nursing Home in Greenfield, Missouri. He was born June 8, 1952, in Aurora, Missouri, the son of Herbert and Josephine (McGehee) Garner.
Max was a 1972 graduate of Miller High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked as a custodian and attended the Highland Chapel Free Methodist Church.
On August 15, 2015, he married Janet Krogh, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
Max is survived by his wife, Janet; three sons, Jason Farrar and his wife, Kayla, of Fordland, Missouri, Chris Garner and Samantha Pina, of Greenfield, Missouri, and Eric Garner of Miller; three sisters, Neva Davies of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Sharon Olinger of Jasper, Missouri and Debra Price and her husband, Eddie, of Holt, Florida; two brothers, James Garner and Larry Garner, both of Mt. Vernon; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Max was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Josephine, one brother, Herbert Garner and five sisters, Betty Wells, Nadine Pedigo, Tiny Williams, Slyvia and Jeannie Garner.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the Summit Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
