Michael Murphy, 59, passed away on August 5, 2021, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Mike Murphy was born on April 11, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert Lee Murphy Jr. and Joe Willie Jones.

Mike graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1980. He was disabled.

Mike has a special friend of 3 years to Tanya Palmer of Pittsburg, Kansas.

1 son Payton "Harbin" Murphy of Joplin Missouri.

Mike was best known for playing basketball and being an instigator. Mike has not ever met a stranger and always tried to help anybody and everybody.

Mike is survived by Joe Jones - mother of Pittsburg, Ks. Jennifer Johnson - sister, of Little Rock, AR. Gary Murphy, John Murphy (Irene Burton) of Pittsburg, Ks. Joe Lewis Jones Jr., Jessie Jones (Tammy), Anthony Jones, Willie Jones brothers and sisters Leedell (Richard) Lowe, Marie (Walter) Hubley, all of Kansas City Missouri and sister LaVerne Jones of Springfield, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, aunts and uncles.

Mike is preceded in death by Robert Lee Murphy father and Jeffery Murphy brother

The visitation for Mike Murphy will be held on August 11, 2021, at Bath Naylor Funeral Home at 522 South Broadway Pittsburg, Kansas from 4 pm to 6 pm.

The service will be held on Saturday August 14, 2021, at 12:30 pm at Porter Cemetery, in Watson, Arkansas

Burial: Porter Cemetery, Watson, Arkansas.
