Todd Aldrighetti

(From Parker Mortuary)

Todd Anthony Aldrighetti, 65, Joplin, “opened another door” on Tuesday, Aug. 10, at his home. Death is not putting out the light. It is extinguishing the candle because the dawn has come.

Todd was born Dec. 17, 1955, in Columbus, Kan., where he grew up and attended schools. He had studied commercial art in Salina, Kan. He married Penelope “Penny” Cox on April 21, 1979. He moved to Joplin at that time.

He had been leader of a Cub Scout pack in Webb City and, as a stay-at-home dad, he helped with his children’s school outings.

Todd was a personable, kind, and honest man known for his sharp-witted sense of humor and his curiosity and vast knowledge of nature and the world around him. He had a great interest in art and music, and was into dirt biking, bicycling, and jogging.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Melissa Aldrighetti of the home, and Ariel-Aidan Aldrighetti, Webb City; a son, John Aldrighetti, state of Florida; three brothers, Scott Aldrighetti, Pittsburg, Kan., and Kurt Aldrighetti and Michael Aldrighetti, both of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reno and Emma Jean Aldrighetti, and a sister, Gail Ramirez.

Graveside committal of ashes will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Columbus City Cemetery in Columbus, Kansas.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
