Patricia Ann Helbig Cantrell passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2021, with her loving family around her at Jacob’s Ladder Legacy Home in Springfield, MO.
Patsy was born and raised on a Guernsey milking farm in Willard, MO. Commerce Bank employed her for 33 years where she gleaned lifelong friends. She taught Sunday school, summer bible school classes and was the church secretary at Conservative Bible Church for many years.
Patricia Ann Helbig Cantrell passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2021, with her loving family around her at Jacob’s Ladder Legacy Home in Springfield, MO.
Patsy was born and raised on a Guernsey milking farm in Willard, MO. Commerce Bank employed her for 33 years where she gleaned lifelong friends. She taught Sunday school, summer bible school classes and was the church secretary at Conservative Bible Church for many years.
Patsy was readily the community volunteer for Easter Seals, the American Cancer Society and neighborhood school’s PTO. Her friends and extended family knew her as a faithful letter writer and sender of cards. She was always ready to travel with her sister-in-law Janice Helbig and friends; she looked forward to new places to share. Patsy loved especially flowers and Valentine’s Day.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Iness (Jeffries) Helbig, a brother Tom Helbig, as well as several extended family members. She is survived by her husband of over 61 years Neal Cantrell (Fair Grove, MO) and son Jeffrey (Neosho, MO).
The family wants to thank the caring staff and volunteers at O’Reilly Cancer Center, Integrity Hospice Care and Jacob ’s Ladder End of Life Legacy Home.
Visitation for Patsy will be Sunday, October 10, 2021, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Greenlawn Funeral Home – North
Services will be 10am. Monday, October 11, 2021, at Greenlawn North in Springfield, burial to follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request the support of Jacob’s Ladder End of Life Legacy Home in Springfield (jacobsladdercare.org).
