Charles Lewis

Mr. Charles Dean Lewis, Sr., 73, of Webb City, Missouri, formerly of Goodman, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday evening, October 23, 2021, in the comfort of his home after a recent battle with cancer.

Charles entered this life on December 17, 1947, in Searcy, Arkansas, son of the late Henry Lewis, Sr. and Lois (Hannings) Lewis. He was raised and attended school in Blythe, California. 










On September 28, 1968, in Blythe, he was united in marriage to Margaret Fisher and together they have shared the last fifty-three years. They resided in Bellevue, Texas for nearly thirty years before moving to Goodman, Missouri, in 2006. Charles was a union carpenter throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and time spent with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and five siblings, Henry, Helen, Vera, Lindy, Patsy and Mary.

Charles is survived by his wife, Margaret Lewis of the home; three sons, Charles Lewis, Jr. and wife, Donna, of Waco, Missouri, Michael Lewis and wife, Katrina, of Anderson, Missouri and Mark Lewis of Joplin, Missouri; a sister, Marci Cartwright of Goodman, Missouri; six grandsons, Robert, Dustin, Sean, Hunter, Dakota and Bryan; five great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021, in the chapel of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home with Leonard Miller officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday beginning at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City, Missouri.
