Louetta Carlson

Louetta Carlson 79, of Joplin MO passed from this life to meet her Savior on October 13, 2021. Louetta was born in Ozark County, Missouri to the late Archie Hathcock and Lilly Celesta Halford of Buffalo, Iowa and then raised by the late Austin and Mary Davis of Buffalo, Iowa. 

Louetta is preceded in death by three brothers Vanton Hathcock, Winston Hathcock and Jerry Halford and is survived by Brother Gary (Maria) Halford, and Sisters Nancy (Chester) Brentise, Wonda Halford, Susie (Tim) LeMars, and many nieces and nephews.








Louetta was a loving wife to the late Reverend Howard Carlson for 59 years. She was a loving mother to Vicky (Ryan) Stacy Muscatine, Iowa, Rebecca (Michael) Whitehead Inola, Oklahoma, Lucinda (Bill) Carlson-Wilson Joplin Missouri, Melinda Carlson Winchester Tennessee, Beth (Michael) Hair Hollister Missouri, Andrew (Bridget) Carlson Davenport Iowa.

Her beloved grandchildren are, Delinda Christen, Delvory Stacy, Justin Stacy, Timothy Stacy, Mike Whitehead, Charles Whitehead, Amanda Robinson, Jeff Stock, Clinton Waggoner, Lindsey Conway, Nicole King, Michelle Cross, Chad Whitehead, Amy Huse, Micah Hughes, Wayde Carlson, Shelby Carlson. She was a great-grandmother to 41 children.

Louetta retired from Royal Neighbors of America, Davenport IA as a Medication Aide and Nurse Aide in 2004. She served also as a pastor’s wife for over 35 years alongside her husband. She also loved growing flowers, sewing, crafting, crocheting, embroidery, decorating her home, traveling to new places, and listening to hymns.

Charles Whitehead, Clinton Waggoner, Chad Whitehead, Wayde Carlson, Shaun Hughes and Casey Robinson will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice Inc., 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203-9658.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastors Tom Armstrong and Mikal Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
