(From Parker Mortuary)John Edward Corley, age 86 of Grove, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his home surrounded by loved ones.
John was born December 16, 1934 in Parsons, Kansas, son of the late William Corley and Alta Fern (Heaney) Corley. John attended grade school in Columbus, Kansas and graduated from Joplin High School.
After high school he attended Joplin Junior College and Pittsburg State University. John owned and operated Ramsay’s Department Store in Grove, Oklahoma for many years. He had previously owned and operated Ramsay’s in Pittsburg, Kansas, where he had worked since 1959.
John proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was also a member of First Christian Church of Joplin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Small; brother, Bob Corley and niece, Candy Livengood.
John is survived by his husband, Donald Willard, his companion of over 40 years; nieces, Sandy Small and Shelle Vail; and many extended family and friends.
No formal services are planned at this time. John’s final resting place will be at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
