Maudie Moenkhoff

Maudie Moenkhoff, age 95, of Joplin, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at her home after a long illness.

Maudie was born March 17, 1926 in Purdy, Missouri to Walter Jackson and Alice (McIntosh) Jackson. She married Edgar Moenkhoff on August 11, 1958, and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her parents, Walter and Alice Jackson; one son, Murray Moenkhoff; and two sisters, Margaret Reagan and Louise Nivens.









Maudie is survived by a daughter, Elaine Thomas of Carthage; a granddaughter, Melanie Holliday and husband Jason of Joplin; three great grandchildren, Jacob Holliday, Macy Holliday, and Taylor Holliday, all of Joplin; and one niece, Pat Ellyett of Holiday Island, AR.

Maudie enjoyed crafting and cooking for her family. She had a green thumb and loved anything that bloomed. She was always proud to show off her flowers and landscaping. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Joplin.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
