Sis Reynolds

Judith “Sis” Reynolds, age 63, of Seneca, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at her home.

Sis, daughter of the late Forest and Mattie (Clark) Downey, was born on March 15, 1958 in Joplin. She was a lifelong Joplin area resident and a graduate of Joplin High School. Soon after high school, she was united in marriage to Thomas W. Reynolds on October 3, 1974 in Joplin. Thomas preceded her in death on April 23, 2009. Sis was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated herself to the care of her family and seized every chance to have her family together.

 

Survivors include her sons, Justin Reynolds, and his wife, Sara, of Anderson, Thomas Reynolds Jr., and his partner, Sara Cooley, both of Seneca, and Cory Reynolds, and Michelle Myers, also of Seneca; grandchildren, Andrew Cooley, Shae Reynolds, Evan Myers, Colton Myers, Milen Reynolds, Bo Reynolds, and Hayden Reynolds; one great grandchild, Blakely Reynolds; siblings, Vernon Tallent, Mickey Downey, Tina Topper, and Sherry Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings Eula Matthews, George Downey, Carol Crandall, and Charles Downey.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25,2021 at 5:00 PM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin with visitation to follow. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date at the Fairview Cemetery in Joplin. Memorial contributions may be made to the family and entrusted to the mortuary.
