(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Craig Raymond Lund passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 at his home after a 3 month illness. He was born February 12, 1946 in Long Beach, CA to Raymond L. and Barbara Lund.
Craig married Linda Kleinfelter on July 15, 1967. To this union were born David William and Martina Louise. This union ended and was later rekindled, coming back together for the last 12 years.
Craig was an excellent tool and die draftsman, he began his career with McDonald Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, CA. Eventually, opening his own tool and die business with a friend. After selling the business he moved to Missouri and began working for LaBarge Industries. A job with Boeing took him to Arizona, and Samsung took him to South Korea before returning to Carthage where he eventually retired from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department.
Craig enjoyed horses, Dry Lakes and Bonneville car racing, shooting, sports, westerns and his dogs.
Craig is survived by Linda, children David (Julie) and Martina, grandchildren Nathan, Aisha, Shannon, Sylas and grandchildren Kayla, Loren and JD.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Noah.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation or Charlie 22 in care of the Ulmer Funeral Home.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
