(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)On Thursday, October 21st, 2021 Jason Bantock crossed over to be with the Lord at the age of 38.
Jason was born on April 1st, 1983 in Bakersfield California, to Deborah Stokes and Corey Bantock. He joined the National Guard February 14, 2011 then later joined the Army Reserves. He was deployed September 2019, he was finally able to do what he always wanted which was serving his country in Afghanistan with his unit 329 Cssb. He returned from deployment June 2020.
Jason had a love for working on his cars. He never had enough toys and was always up for a new project. One of Jason’s pride and joys was his service dog Sheila she was connected to him, almost like another daughter. He also enjoyed cookouts and camping with his friends and family, shooting at the range, and taking long rides on his Shitzuki.
Jason is survived by his children; Jakob Bantock, Alyssa Bantock and Hailey Garrett. Brothers and sisters; John Chapman, Frankie Chapman, Michael Hollis, Racheal Bantock, Dawnell Bantock and their families. Step-father Bob Stokes, grandmother and grandfather Frank and Betty Thompson. Fiancé Jessica Brower and children. As well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and step-children.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. A visitation will be at 1:00 pm prior to service.
