Brenda Harmon

Brenda Gail Harmon, 65, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at home surrounded by family.

Brenda was born December 11, 1955 in Joplin, Missouri to John C. and Thelma LeEtta (England) Emmert. Brenda was a lifelong area resident graduating from Carl Junction High School in 1974.

Brenda was united in marriage to the love of her life Randy Harmon on June 4, 1974 in Joplin, Missouri. Together they shared 47 precious years before her passing.








Brenda worked in management for Walmart for over thirty years. She attended Saint Philip’s Episcopal Church in her youth and Iron Gates Christian Church with her husband, Randy. She was a member of the local Eastern Star. Brenda was an avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling, softball, golf and playing pool. She even had her own race car that she drove at the Joplin 66 Speedway. Brenda was a hard worker and always gave 110% in everything that she did, whether it be sports or her job. She cherished all the memories created with family and friends She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma LeEtta Emmert and brother, John J. Emmert.

Brenda is lovingly survived by her husband, Randy; son, Jason Harmon and wife, Lore; grandchildren, Haeli Harmon, Zachary Harmon and wife, Kelsey; father, John C. Emmert; brother, Greg Emmert and wife, Sue; together with a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration Gathering will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 at Iron Gates Christian Church from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday October 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Fr. Frank Sierra officiating. Jason Harmon, Zachary Harmon, Greg Emmert, John C. Emmert, Butch England and Ryan Harmon will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
