Linda Sadler

Linda Joline Sadler, 73, of Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis surrounded by family.

Linda was born July 5, 1948 in Miami, Oklahoma to the late Chester Earl and Joline Dell (Conard) Enyart. Linda was a lifelong Joplin area resident. She graduated from Joplin High School in 1966 and received her Bachelor’s in Education from Missouri Southern State College in 1970.








Linda was united in marriage to the love of her life, Rick Sadler on March 24, 1967 in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Together they shared 54 precious years before her passing.

Linda began her teaching career at Eastmorland Elementary School, where she taught third grade. Over the years she also taught at Central Christian Academy and Franklin Tech. Linda enjoyed the education field and found a home as the Student Employment Director in the Financial Aide Department at Missouri Southern State University. She retired from MSSU after 17 years of service. Even in retirement, Linda kept busy by working part time for Brad McIntyre at Edward Jones. She also volunteered with numerous local organizations such as Freeman Auxiliary, where she served as president, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and as a Jasper County election judge.

Linda enjoyed golfing, her walking club, was an avid reader, and Thursday mornings when she and Rick would greet the children as they came to school. Linda had a caregiver’s heart and took special care of her mom and dad in their later years. Throughout the years she never missed game or event that the children or grandchildren participated in. Linda sat proudly in the bleachers encouraging each one of them. She was an amazing wife, mom and grandma.

Linda cherished all the memories created with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her brother Gerald Enyart.

Linda is lovingly survived by her husband, Rick; son, Sean Sadler and wife, Amy; daughter Jill Fisher and husband, David; grandchildren, Austin Fisher and wife, Brin, Audrey Fisher, Skylar Bussard and husband, Tyler, Gracie Sadler; great grandchildren, Jett Sadler, Winnie Fisher; sisters, DeeAnn Matthews and husband, Charles, Terri Conner and husband, Jerry; together with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 22, 2021at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Carl Junction Campus with Pastor Rick Flinn officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Park Cemetery. Sean Sadler, David Fisher, Austin Fisher, David Wilson, Matt Wilson and Jerry Conner will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Carl Junction Campus for youth activities in care of the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
