Tom Thomas

James (Tom) Franklin Thomas, 87, Avilla, Missouri, passed away Friday afternoon, October 15, 2021, at his home. He was born on June 23, 1934, in Chauteau County, Montana, the son of the late Archie Thomas and Margarette (Null) Thomas. 

James retired from the military in 1971. He married the love of his life, Donnea (Donna) Haas in 1971, she preceded him in death on February 25, 2018. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Carthage.









Survivors include his children: Amy Thomas of Avilla, Missouri. Colin Kissick and his wife Danette of Joplin, Missouri. Threasa Thomas of Kenai, Alaska. And four grandchildren: Calisha England, Chance Kissick, Aurora Kissick and Amelia Kissick.
He is also survived by four ‘adopted’ daughters: Sherry Sarvas, Christina Wells, Deborah Moran and Rebekah Benson, and his many brothers and sisters in his spiritual family of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Tom was preceded in death by two sisters: Doris and Hazel.

Tom loved to share his strong faith in his creator and his confidence in the resurrection hope with everyone he met. He also loved telling stories of his life and of his dear wife, Donna.

Tom was loved by many and will be missed until the resurrection hope is realized.
