(From Konantz Warden Funeral Home)Janice K. Frieden passed away on Saturday October 23, 2021. She was born on December 15, 1942, to Leslie and Edna (Fankhauser) Frieden. Janice graduated from Lamar High School in 1960.
Upon graduation, she attended Missouri State University for two years. Janice then traveled to Phoenix, AZ where she worked in banking and then moved to Pasadena, CA where she worked at Jet Propulsion Lab. She moved back to Missouri where she worked in childcare, volunteered as a Pink Lady at Barton County Memorial Hospital, and worked at the Super 8 in Lamar, MO.
In the late 1960s, Janice joined the Apostolic Christian Church and was very active within the church, especially with the young people. She often sponsored and traveled with them as they went to other churches in the area and in neighboring states.
Janice is survived by her brothers: Gary Frieden and wife Norma of Lamar, MO, Lon Frieden and wife Virginia of Lamar, MO, and Tim Frieden and wife Brenda of Lamar, MO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations may be made to the Apostolic Christian Faith Church.
Konantz Warden Funeral Home will be open from 9 AM to 7 PM Wednesday October 27, 2021 for visitors who would like to sign the book and pay final respects. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM to 11 AM and a funeral service will follow at 11 AM at the Apostolic Christian Faith Church on Thursday October 28, 2021. Interment will be at the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery at approximately 1:30 P.M.
