(From Clark Funeral Home)Billy Ray Balentine, of Wister, Oklahoma, formerly of Neosho, Missouri, completed his earthly journey on October 21, 2021, at 7:45 a.m. at the age of 78.
Billy was born April 10, 1943, in Poteau, Oklahoma, the only child of Mac Bea and Pauline Juanita (Lowe) Balentine. He served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964.
Following his honorable discharge, Billy worked as an inspector for the Department of Defense until his retirement. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and was of the Baptist faith. Billy and Joyce (Arnholt) were married on July 2, 1972, in Richmond, California, and they shared 49 years together.
In addition to his wife, Joyce, he is survived by three uncles, one aunt, and numerous other family members. The family will hold a private service at a later date. Contributions in memory of Billy may be made to the Neosho Senior Center, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
