(From Parker Mortuary)David Elliot Weersing, age 55, Joplin, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at his home surrounded by family after a 7-year battle with cancer.
David was born July 25, 1966 in Dallas, Texas, son of the late Jewel and Patsy Hayes. He moved to Pineville as a child, and graduated from McDonald County High School.
He served in the United States Army, and returned to Southwest Missouri where he worked in home construction and remodeling all of his adult life. He worked as an independent contractor, and with D.J. Roofing and Supply and G & H Construction also.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a daughter, Britny Weersing.
Survivors include his children, Steven Weersing, Nathan Weersing, and Kinzley Williams all of Joplin; and good friend, Donna Brown.
