(From Parker Mortuary)Brian Lowe Hobart, 71, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at his home.
Brian was born January 11, 1950 in Centerville, Iowa to Leonard Harvey and Mary (Lowe) Hobart.
When Brian was young his family moved to Neosho, Missouri where he graduated in 1968 from Neosho High School. While in high school, Brian was an accomplished athlete. He was All State in Football and Track and also President of the National Honor Society. After high school Brian attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College where he received his Associates Degree. Brian then proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Marines, earning a cadet award for excellence.
Brian worked on a cattle ranch, in a saw mill, for Fleming Foods, Tamko Building Products and most recently for Sam’s Wholesale Clubs. He loved to canoe and to spend time working on his mini farm. He was very humble and had a heart of gold. Brian cherished the time spent and memories created with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Harvey Hobart, brother, Doren Leonard Hobart, and niece Emily Johnson.
Brian is lovingly survived by his mother, Mary Dekalb; brother Aaron Hobart and significant other, Sharon Conness, sister Cynthia Shuler and husband, Gary; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary, interment will follow at Burkhart Cemetery in Racine, Mo.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
