(From Clark Funeral Home)Donald O. Gorham, age 80, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away at 10:13 a.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Freeman West In Joplin, Missouri. He was born September 6, 1941, in Neosho, Missouri, the son of Otis and Doris (Hamilton) Gorham. Donald was a Neosho High School graduate, and member of Burkhart Church of Christ.
On June 5, 1960, he married Deanna Burkhart in Racine, Missouri, she survives of the home.
Don worked as an electrician for over thirty-seven years at Atlas Powder in Carthage, Missouri. He was an avid golfer, he enjoyed gardening and playing cards, and was a member of the Men’s Golf Association at the Neosho Golf Course.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Deanna; three sons, Douglas (Rebecca) Gorham of Carl Junction, Missouri, Jerry (Tonya) Gorham of Seneca, Missouri, Ronny K. (Rhonda) Gorham of Joplin, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Ashley , Robert, Hannah, Jessica, Lindsey, Austin, Marsha; eight great grandchildren; brother, Bob (Cathy) Gorham of Branson, Missouri; sisters, Sue (Dr. Marion) Weston of Neosho, Pat Mitchell of Neosho, Jeanie (Paul) Reed of Austin, Texas.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter in law Diana Gorham.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday October 16, 2021, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions may be made to the Newton County Cancer Council c/o Clark Funeral Home, Po Box 66, Neosho, Mo 64850.
