(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mr. Daniel Ellsworth “Danny” Blake, 59, of Jay, Oklahoma, departed this life on Thursday evening, October 28, 2021, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville, Arkansas, from complications of a recent stroke.
Danny entered this life on July 24, 1962, in Danville, Arkansas, one of six children born to the union of the late Charles Eldon and Velma Lee (Kessler) Blake. He was raised and attended school in Southwest City, Missouri.
His work history included, Webco Tank, O’Brien and Simmons Foods, Commercial Metals and most recently as a farmhand for Andrews Cattle Company. He loved all types of automobiles, music, going to flea markets, being outdoors and time spent with his family. Danny was of the Baptist faith.
Danny is survived by his five children, Jennifer Troyer and husband, Matt, of Jay, Oklahoma, Amanda Wetzel and husband, Zack, of Jay, Cody Blake and wife, Paige, of Lecompton, Kansas, Dylan Blake of Jay and River Blake also of Jay; eight grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Fisher, Ryker, Rigsby, Carlie, Rhenzi and Dakota; one great grandson, Remington; two brothers, Rick Blake and wife, Donna, of Southwest City and David Blake and wife, Nyanna, of Southwest City; three sisters, Kathy McKee and husband, Jim, of Southwest City, Mary Golden and husband, Steven, of Southwest City and Judy Gow and husband, Bud, of Noel; his beloved dogs, Alcatraz and Jack; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Southwest City with Pastors Rob Grimm and Ricky Williams officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in Southwest City Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
