Louis Daniels

Louis R. Daniels, age 98, of Webb City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016 following a sudden decline in health.

He was born January 26, 1918 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to Lee and Faye (Archer) Daniels.

Louis was employed with the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a lineman for many years. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Louis was very proud to have been able to serve his country. He enjoyed traveling and meeting people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 56 years, Bonnie (Smith), two brothers and a longtime companion of 20 years, Nita Delworth.

Louis is survived by one son, Louis Daniels, Jr., and wife, Sharon, Carthage, Missouri; three daughters, Judith Tarnowieckyi and husband, Siegfried, Webb City, Missouri, Susan Gallagher and husband, Jesse, Vichy, Missouri and Kathy Joiner, Omaha, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Oronogo Cemetery with Rev. Clint Lambeth officiating. Condolences may be sent to the funeral home website www.hedgelewis.com.
