Deborah D. Williams, age 65, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Mercy of Joplin after a sudden illness.
Deborah was born March 8, 1951, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated from East High School in Wichita, Kansas in 1969. She worked at Mercy Hospital as a PBX operator. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Moyer and Grace Caviness Moyer, a sister, Sharon Branstetter, and her grandmother, Ella Caviness.
Survivors include her husband, Gilbert "Gil" Williams, Jr. whom she married June 19, 1971, a daughter, Dana Williams and husband Patrick Tuttle of Joplin; step-sons, Scott Miester and wife Blythe of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Terry Miester and wife Danica of Marion, Iowa; sister, Linda Blue and husband Don of Wichita, Kansas, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be Saturday, June 18,. 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Gary Shaw officiating.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lafayette House, Souls Harbor, or Joplin Humane Society.
